Designation: Senior Manager
Cherry aspires to create meaningful experience for visitors at the Asian Civilisations Museum. She is also an access champion who aims to normalise disabilities through inclusive education and capability development.
About the Asian Civilisations Museum:
The Asian Civilisations Museum is devoted to exploring the rich artistic heritage of Asia, especially the ancestral cultures of Singaporeans. Opened in 1997 and in its present building by the Singapore River since 2003, the museum traces its roots to the Raffles Museum, founded in the middle of the 19th century. ACM focuses on the many historical connections between the cultures of Asia, and between Asia and the world. Singapore’s history as a port city that brought people together from all over the world is used as a means of examining the history of Asia. Special exhibitions bring magnificent objects from around the world to our Singapore audience.

Designation: Deputy Head, Children & Teens
Aida is a deputy head for children and teens. She manages the children and teens services of the public libraries in the western region of Singapore, devising programmes that spread the love of reading among the younger generation.

Speaker Name: Kenny Eng
Kenny Eng is the Director of Gardenasia - the hortitainment arm of the Nyee Phoe Group - and a thought leader in the farm entertainment space. Growing up amongst gardens and greens as part of Nyee Phoe's 4th generation, the legacy and values of his family's century-old horticulture business - being evergreen, upholding quality and setting trends - have always been deeply ingrained in the aspiring entrepreneur’s mind.
In 2000, Kenny realigned the company’s direction to create holistic experiences as a means to introduce a naturally-inspired perspective to life. This vision, termed as 'HortiTainment', is what drives Nyee Phoe's journey till today. Kenny continues to actively develop naturally-inspired lifestyle experiences, and specialised products and services with a natural touch, for a diverse clientele. This includes planning for weddings/corporate/family events;
GardenasiaKids, his children's edutainment arm, fronted by his Eco-Ambassadors, Titoy & Morchoo; and running a 2-hectare venue along Neo Tiew Crescent, with a Bistro and a Farmstay.
One to keep his cultural roots and heritage close to his heart, Kenny took up the position of Kranji Countryside Association's (KCA) President in March 2014. Under his leadership, KCA was instrumental in organising the 2016's RASC Conference in Singapore, and the ongoing quarterly Kranji Countryside Farmers’ Market. Previously, Kenny was a council member of the National Youth Council, a *Scape Co Ltd board member, and part of the Singapore Youth Olympic Games Organizing Committee. He holds a Science (honours) degree in Real Estate from National University of Singapore.
Gardenasia aims to draw people closer to nature through curated experiences that are naturally inspired. Speaker Name: Jonathan Easton
Designation: VP Design
Jonathan graduated from Curtin University of Technology (Australia) in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Design with First Class Honours. He was also on the prestigious Vice Chancellor’s List.
Prior to co-founding GSI, Jonathan worked as a Senior Designer and practiced as a lecturer in Design for Curtin University. In 2006 he decided to make the jump and co-founded GlobalSign.in (GSI) together with Veemal Gungadin. From the start of GSI, Jonathan has been the driving force behind the company’s design philosophy and creative works, winning GSI multiple awards for websites and digital works.
Today, Jonathan oversees all the Product Design, Application and UI Design, DesignOps and User Experience (UX) initiatives at the company. He plays an active role in the conceptual design and brainstorming of the company’s future products and innovations. Having worked with clients, ranging from Government agencies, MNCs and corporates to SME’s and Digital Agencies, Jonathan is very versatile in his design thinking and approach. He has the rare talent of being able to blend and balance form and function. His designs and concepts therefore do not only look good, but also work. Jonathan also approaches User Experience from a holistic level, looking at the complete user journey from start to finish, and thus also incorporates the user’s Event Experience into the scope. The balance between Form and Function, the role of Design in Innovation and the constant evolution of the Design practice in relation to Product Development and Engineering have always been at the core of Jonathan’s obsessions.
