Globally, there has been an active effort towards the sustainable use of resources and achieving global sustainable goals. The redefining of relationships across supply and value chains, creative approaches to the use and preservation of resources, proliferation of technology across the value chain and new sources of financing are just some of the changes that have emerged as part of this effort. In the area of trade financing, banks are working together to reduce the cost of capital for trading of sustainably produced commodities and, on a broader level, green financing.
How can companies empower themselves using tools such as financing, technology or even compliance and governance to achieve the ambition of a sustainable trading future? How can companies relook their business models and operations to ensure that they are future ready? How can companies become forerunners in the future of trade and embrace the global sustainability agenda?
