ABOUT
Beyond the economic and health uncertainty posed by COVID-19, the rapidly evolving business landscape and disruptive events and evolving environment are expected to impact businesses’ operations more frequently and quickly in the future. The digital revolution, for example, plays a part. While it helps to upgrade and improve efficiency of business processes through the use of data,  there is also greater potential for large-scale failure and security breaches, along with other consequences. With a responsibility to safeguard clients’ digital data and confidential information, it is important for security agencies to have a robust business continuity plan (BCP) to minimise risk and disruption in their business operations and build clients’ confidence in their services.

Furthermore, as part of the Police Licensing & Regulatory Department’s (PLRD) new assessment framework for Security Agencies Competency Evaluation (SACE), security agencies are required to have a BCP to ensure business continuity in contingencies such as:
  1. Major disaster (e.g. island-wide floods, building collapse)
  2. IT related incidents (e.g. cyber attacks)
  3. Terror-related incident (e.g. bomb attack, vehicle attack)
  4. Diseases outbreak (e.g. pandemic)
This webinar aims to help security agencies to:
  1. Better understand the potential scenarios and impact of the four contingencies mentioned above
  2. Learn how to curate and implement their own BCP and prepare for the new Security Agencies Competency Evaluation (SACE)
