What is this about?

Join this workshop to learn the basic principles of Design Thinking - applied to the current situation we are all facing. Working either partly or fully remotely has required us all to quickly develop new skills and ways of communication. This workshop is relevant for you if you are interested in understanding the basic principles of design thinking - you may be a fresh graduate entering the workforce, a freelancer, a manager or perhaps someone who is part of a bigger global organization. We will use the steps of design thinking to help each of us reflect on our core needs, problems - and then develop solutions that allow us to address these issues.

About the Speaker:

Kajal is the Founder of Heist. Based in Singapore, she leads Heist’s business in the region and works with global and local clients to uncover the fundamental insights needed to keep up with the rapid pace of change across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
A believer in the power of connecting interesting people and ideas, Kajal has an innate ability to quickly gain access to new communities and tastemakers. As a result, she’s able to create experiential, immersive experiences for her clients that swiftly bring to life consumer motivations. Over the course of her career, she has been mistaken for a spy while studying Gospel cultures in Nigeria and worked closely with business leaders and Royals in the Middle East to help craft financial services that will make a true social impact in the region.

Kajal is a sought-after teacher, mentor and speaker. She has lectured at institutions around the world, including Shanghai’s Fudan University, Hong Kong University, Hyper Island and The Singapore University of Technology and Design - Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a mentor for innovation initiatives from OCBC, AIA, Nest, Grameen Bank and BBVA.  Over the last decade, she's helped more than 30 start-ups re-think the value of user insights as part of her ongoing involvement with accelerator programs in Asia.
